Poured is a home bar app: you scan your bottles, build an inventory, and get cocktail recipes based on what you have. This policy explains what information Poured collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect only what the app needs to work, we don't show ads, and we never sell your data.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. Passwords are stored in hashed form; we can't read them.
Your bar. The bottles you scan or enter, your pantry items, and the recipes you save are stored with your account so your bar is there when you come back.
Photos you take. When you scan a bottle, the photo is sent to our server and passed to our AI provider to identify the bottle. Photos are processed for identification and are not saved to your account or stored on our servers.
We do not collect your contacts, location, or advertising identifiers, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
We use your information to run Poured: keeping your inventory in sync, identifying bottles you scan, generating recipe suggestions from what's in your bar, and sending account emails such as confirmation and password reset messages. That's it — no advertising, no profiling, no selling or renting your data to anyone.
Poured is built on a small number of service providers that process data on our behalf: Supabase provides our database and account authentication; Anthropic provides the AI that identifies bottles and generates recipes (photos and inventory details are sent to Anthropic's API for processing; Anthropic does not use API data to train its models by default); and Resend delivers our account emails. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is handled by Apple's App Store or Google Play — we never see your card details — with subscription status managed by RevenueCat.
Your account data is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account in the app's settings, which permanently removes your account and your bar data from our systems. You can also email us at support@drinkpoured.com and we'll delete your account for you.
Poured is about cocktails and is intended for people of legal drinking age in their country of residence (21+ in the United States). Poured is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the legal drinking age.
Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls that limit each account to its own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the amount of data we hold small — that's the best protection there is.
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update this page and revise the effective date above. Continued use of Poured after changes means you accept the updated policy.
